      Abstract

The article discusses the technology of optimizing energy saving in a hybrid wind-solar energy storage system. The proposed solution involves the use of a combination of capacitors and batteries to increase the efficiency of energy storage. The main attention is paid to the application of dual-mode control methods and static reactive power compensation, which significantly increases the output power of the system. An algorithm for optimizing particle fluxes together with a maximum power tracking system are also used to improve system performance. Due to the integration of software modeling methods into MATLAB, it is possible to more precisely configure the system and optimize each of its components. The complementarity of wind and solar energy ensures the stability of the electricity supply, improving the management and distribution of capacities. Dual-mode control simplifies the distribution of energy resources and reduces energy storage costs, which makes this system not only economically profitable, but also environmentally sound. This technology is an effective solution to improve the stability and performance of hybrid energy storage systems in renewable sources. Modeling in MATLAB/Simulink showed an increase in output power and acceleration of reaching steady state; the solution is especially promising for remote and Arctic regions of Russia (for example, Tiksi, Dickson, Pevek, Novy Urengoy, Norilsk, Murmansk/Kola Peninsula).
